WMF / Geislingen - Drinking service (3) - Silverplated - Art Deco 1909

The WMF / Geislingen drinking service from 1909 represents an exquisite Art Deco era set, crafted with silverplated metal. WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) is a prestigious German manufacturer known for high-quality metalwares since the 19th century. Art Deco, emerging in the early 20th century, is noted for its bold geometric patterns, lavish ornamentation, and a departure from more ornate styles. A drinking service typically consists of matching cups, saucers, and possibly a tray or pitcher designed for serving beverages in style. This set reflects a historic merging of innovative design with functional tabletop elegance, highly valued by collectors of vintage tableware and Art Deco artifacts.
