Nikon Nikkor-S Auto 1,4/50mm Non-Ai | Camera lens

The Nikon Nikkor-S Auto 50mm f/1.4 lens is a classic prime lens praised for its sharp image quality and bright wide aperture, ideal for portraiture, low-light conditions, and creating backgrounds with smooth bokeh. As a Non-AI lens, it was produced before Nikon introduced the Automatic Indexing (AI) mount system in the mid-1970s. Non-AI lenses require special care or modification to be compatible with later Nikon SLR bodies. This 50mm focal length is considered a standard lens, closely approximating human vision perspective, making it a versatile tool for everyday photography. The fast f/1.4 aperture offers excellent subject separation and creative depth of field control. The Nikkor-S Auto series is known for quality optics and solid mechanical build, making it a sought-after lens for collectors and photographers interested in classic manual-focus glass with distinctive rendering characteristics.
