Nikon Pc-Nikkor 35mm f/2.8 Camera lens

The Nikon PC-Nikkor 35mm f/2.8 is a specialized camera lens that belongs to the Perspective Control (PC) category. This type of lens is particularly valued in architectural and product photography due to its ability to adjust the lens plane relative to the image plane, helping correct perspective distortions that typically occur when photographing tall buildings or objects from an angle. The 35mm focal length offers a moderately wide field of view, while the f/2.8 aperture allows reasonable low-light performance and depth of field control. Tilt-shift (or perspective control) lenses like this one enable movements such as shift (vertical or horizontal) to keep parallel lines straight, and tilt to control the plane of focus, opening creative possibilities like extended depth of field or selective focus effects. The PC-Nikkor 35mm f/2.8 is often sought after by professional and enthusiast photographers who require precise control over composition and perspective in their images. These lenses have robust mechanical construction and are generally manual focus, favoring deliberate, controlled shooting scenarios.
