Nikon AI Nikkor 28mm F2.8 Prime lens

The Nikon AI Nikkor 28mm f/2.8 prime lens is a classic wide-angle lens designed for Nikon F-mount cameras with aperture indexing (AI) functionality. The 28mm focal length provides a moderately wide field of view ideal for landscapes, street photography, architecture, and environmental portraits. An f/2.8 maximum aperture offers a good balance between low-light capability and manageable lens size. Known for its sharpness, color rendition, and rugged build, this lens is favored by photographers using vintage Nikon film cameras and those who appreciate manual focus precision. Its AI design allows for accurate metering on compatible Nikon bodies, maintaining relevance for film and some digital Nikon users interested in legacy glass performance.
